Last night, Miss Venezuela, Stefania Fernandez, was crowned the new Miss Universe at Atlantis Paradise Island Resort in The Islands Of The Bahamas, before a television audience estimated at 1 BILLION. Fernandez’s win marks two consecutive years that Venezuela has captured the multi-million tiara. Her predecessor, the head-turning Dayana Mendoza, was more than happy to surrender her sash to the 18-year-old Fernandez as the two embraced in what appeared to be a combination hug-jump-twirl embrace.
Included in Miss Universe 2009 Stefania Fernandez’s prize package is a six-day/five-night vacation for two at Atlantis, Paradise Island, Bahamas with air travel accommodations by JetBlue Airways.
