Lighthouses of The Bahamas
Lighthouses have played a role in the history of The Bahamas since the 19th century, where boats are a way of life. Built as navigational aids for ships to find their way to various islands, there are still around two dozen active lighthouses in The Bahamas including the famed Hope Town Lighthouse on Abaco as well as the San Salvador and Great Inagua lighthouse.
